Strategic Cooperation Program: Planting Trees in Cameron Highlands

Cameron Highlands, 30 September 2014 - The Ministry of Natural Resources and Neighborhood (NRE) in collaboration with the Forestry Department Peninsular Malaysia (JPSM), the Forestry Department of State Pahang (JPNP), Department of Environment Malaysia (JAS) and some other agencies under NRE program has been implemented Strategic cooperation: Planting Trees in Cameron Highlands which is located in compartment 4, Hutan Simpan Terla, Mukim Telom, Cameron Highlands. The program was inaugurated by the Minister of Natural Resources and Neighborhood, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri G. Palanivel who is also acting as a member of parliament Cameron Highlands. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato 'Haji Wan Ismail Wan Bin Rosdy representing Yang Amat Berhormat Menteri Besar of Pahang and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Neighborhood, Dato' Sri Zoal Azha Yusof bin.

The program has gained the cooperation of seven strategic partners namely Tesco (M) Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia Environment Sdn. Bhd. (ASMA), Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), the Group Semesta PT. Bhd. (K.S.S.B), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the North South Highway Project (PLUS) and Golden Ecosystem PT. Bhd. (GESB). Each of these strategic partners of each area by planting trees in four forest Fixed Deposits (HSK) with a total area of ​​26 hectares. The companies will finance the cost of seedlings, planting and maintenance jobs once the plant for a period of five years.

In addition to strategic partners, co success of the program is school students from across the Cameron Highlands as many as 300 people, 250 youth volunteers 1M4U, 50 members Puspanita JPNP and NRE, officials of ministries and departments under the NRE and JPNP own staff. A total of approximately 1600 children have been successfully planted trees on this day consisting of meranti species hill, resin oil, rhu hills and weasels immune Podo mountain. Also launched on this day is the first team NRE Command Centre in Cameron Highlands (1 NCC), which served as the team that will carry out patrols and air surveillance are systematically and regularly. Additionally, the event helped launch System License of Occupation Meanwhile Electronics (eLPS) developed by the Project Team E-Land, Department Director of Land and Mines (JKPTG) for the purpose of automating the application system and monitoring of development land LPS and Permit (Form 4A, 4B and 4C ) under the Cameron Highlands Dreams.
