Forest Offenses

 

According to the National Forestry Act 1984 (Amendment 1993)

  • The maximum fine of RM 500,000 and imprisonment of not less than 1 year and
    not to exceed 20 years.
     

    Section 15 - Taking Forest of Permanent Reserved Forests or state land without a valid license Section 40 - Transfer of Forest without Pass Transfer of Land Alienated, TOL, mine and the Reserve.
    Section 86 - Forging or damaged, or has tools for counterfeiting, marks on trees and logs and change the border


  • The maximum fine of RM 50,000 and / or imprisonment up to 5 years
    (Includes offenses such as job or unlawful activities in the Permanent Forest Reserve; Transferring forest products are not in place and time; take or collect any forest products such as rattan, fruits, herbs, minerals and waste or dispose of any waste materials; ban burning and prevents employees from performing their duties or refusing to cooperate).

    As in Section 32, 66, 67, 68, 69, 81 (1) (b), 81 (1) (c), 82 (1), 84, 85, 87, 92, 96, 97, 98 & 100
  • The maximum fine of RM 10,000 and / or imprisonment up to 3 years
    Errors include the Permanent Forest Reserve; the use of forest roads, graze cattle; allowing cattle to graze. Search for, collect or remove any forest produce or minerals; clear or break up the soil with agricultural purposes or other purposes; Using toxic or explosive substance for the purpose of fishing or set traps or snares.
